Police Chief

Chief ImageChief Brandal Jackson received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Prairie View A&M University and his Master of Science Degree in Juvenile Justice from Prairie View A&M University.  Additionally, he holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Blinn College where he also serves as a Criminal Justice Adjunct Instructor.  He is also a graduate of the FBI National Command College in 2013.  Chief Jackson has participated in extensive leadership training across the nation for Chiefs of Police.

 

Chief Jackson has been in law enforcement for 25 years with sixteen of those years serving in the capacity of Chief of Police.  During Chief Jackson’s tenure, he has implemented several policies, procedures, and initiatives helping reduce violent crime, build community trust and increase transparency.  Chief Jackson has been assigned to the uniform patrol division as well as serving as a county jail supervisor where he received employee of the year recognition 2 years in a row. Chief Jackson has also worked as a correctional officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the Texas Department of Juvenile Justice.  He holds a Master Peace Officer License as well as an Instructor Certification.  

 

Chief Jackson is an active member of the Texas Police Chiefs Association (TPCA), member of National Association of Chiefs of Police (NACP), member of International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), member of Fight Crime Invest in Kids (Chiefs of Police), member of Southwest Association of Criminal Justice and a member of the Texas Association of Property and Evidence Inventory Technicians (T.A.P.E.I.T.).
