Mission Statement: The mission of the Willis Economic Development Corporation is to enhance and strengthen the local economy of Willis through the support and expansion of local businesses and the attraction of new businesses that will increase the ta basis of the local area, which is defined as land within the City limits and within one mile outside the City limits. This mission will be accomplished through (a) providing financial assistance as may be required, and permissible, to promote business opportunities and to provide expeditious assistance for expansion and entry into the Willis economy and (b) providing and supporting programs that enhance the quality of life for all Willis citizens.

Goal 1: Seek to retain and expand existing employers.

Goal 2: Communicate educational needs of local employees to local educational institutions.

Goal 3: Work with the Greater Conroe Economic Development Council for the mutual economic benefit of North Montgomery County.

Goal 4: Assemble and maintain a marketing package for the local area.

Goal 5: Assist existing and potential employers with site acquisition and development.

Goal 6: Assist existing and potential employers with employee training.

Goal 7: Maintain a list of key suppliers to industry in Montgomery County located outside the local area with the goal of relocating them in the local area.

Goal 8: Develop and maintain recycling programs for the City of Willis.
